A note about PayPal: Uncertain whether this is a glitch or a new policy, but PayPal email notifications have been displaying payment information only. I am now required to sign in to my PayPal account to view transaction details (meaning, the items you ordered!). Other than that, orders are coming through and this shouldn't be a customer-side problem.
11.18.2008 All the winter birds are currently in place and ready to fly. The next winter/Yule set will be dessert-style. I'd like to have these ready in time to coincide with a Black Friday exclusive fragrance. After that, we're planning an eclectic update which defies description in the abstract, but we'll try to weave a ribbon of continuity through the scents, because we love overtaxing our little brains. And, look for Cobalt Blends at the Soap Box Bonanza Giveaway next week!
11.15.2008 The first scents of winter are here. The theme is birds. We will begin shipping these creatures on Tuesday November 18. More fragrances to be added soon, including some favorites from the past.
11.15.2008 We have a very limited amount of Halloween oils left. This includes Devil's Night. If you're interested in these, please email for availability. (The small company that provided one of the distinctive components in Devil's Night has closed. Devil's Night will return, but with a completely new formula.)
Smoking Entity will join the general collection, with a new name.
10.24.2008 Displaced Princess, Rampart Kick, and Sugary Spin are now part of the general catalog.
9.10.2008 Spruce Mobius has been revamped just a bit for fall. Oakmoss has been added, a crystalline sugar replaces the muscovado, and the smoke is smoother.
8.16.2008 A word about samples and decants. They're good things. They allow a customer, or potential customer, to test a fragrance before they buy. Perfume samples and decants can come from retailers or from individuals purchasing bottles for the specific purpose of decanting the oils into sample size vials to share with others. Samples can also come directly from the perfume company. Occasionally samples will not be exactly the same as the bottled perfume. Various factors can cause this: exposure to light (sample vials are usually clear glass), perfumes not being shaken before decanting (some fragrances may contain weightier essential oils or absolutes that have a tendency to sink and therefore need to be lightly shaken to ensure a thoroughly blended product), or even not using a fresh or clean pipette to decant from the bottle... a pipette with a minuscule drop of another fragrance could conceivably compromise the integrity of the sample. I'm not aware of any specific problems related to this; it's just something to keep in mind.
8.07.2008 Now available, two new fragrances in the general catalog:
Vandalwood is sandalwood and vanilla, with deeper notes of cedarwood, otherwoods, and smoke, with a warm top note of opulent rosewood. A unisex scent.
I'm Not Home Honey is a honey drenched perfume with an elusive dollop of cocoa that soon takes a backseat to the honey. This is all about the honey... a fabulous, long lasting, luxurious honey accord that deepens and becomes more complex as it lingers on the skin.
6.19.2008 New: Black Mood: Embrace your dark side as heart notes of India black pepper and the barest touch of smoky woods momentarily crash turbulently and meld into a blend of resinous deep amber, black satin, and vetiver. The meltdown: soft, velvety, and oddly comforting.
